Thank you for your support of Word of Life (http://www.wordoflife.org.in) in my home town of Lucknow, India. This vision was inaugurated to perpetuate my father’s legacy who pioneered and pastored this church for 49 years.
A few weeks ago I returned from there after teaching on this beautiful campus for a week and also reconnecting with my family. The first two pictures below are from the EQUIP Leadership Conference and will give you an idea of the size of the group being trained in this predominantly Muslim city.

Since February 2009 over 400 leaders have been trained and developed who are now serving the Kingdom in a variety of God-glorifying ways, both in ministry and marketplace.
As you know that for any vision to be successful it has to intentionally work on sustainability with minimum dependence on outside assistance and maximum from the organization itself.
Hence this email…
To build sustainability we want to buy the adjoining property and start revenue generating businesses which will include a dairy farm, chicken farm and vegetable and fruit farm. These combined will, in 2-3 years, generate enough revenue to sustain Word of Life and build in the perpetuity that is needed for independence.
I am asking 500 of my friends to prayerfully consider gifts of $1,000 or more payable by March 31, 2012. Will you be one of those supportive friends?

Just FYI … the entire property has no debt and the monthly all-inclusive budget of $6,600 is provided by friends like you. Yes, this even includes the community outreach shown in the pictures. The leadership is strong, mature and visionary. The “project” and “people” components of this vision are secured—now we need to build in the needed sustainability.
