Hope Focused Couples Counseling

The Hope Focused Couples Counseling program is now closed until the Fall. Applications and Schedule requests are not being accepted at this time.

The Hope Focused Couples Counseling program is a partnership between Summit Counseling Center at the Mount and Regent University. The Hope Focused approach to couples counseling works to build Hope for couples in 8 to 10 meetings using positive interventions tailored to the relationship needs of the couple.  The Hope Focused focuses on assessment, feedback, creating commitment, communication, problem solving, understanding each others’ pasts, apologies and forgiveness.  Our goal is to support you in using these principles to change the patterns in your relationship to be more healthy.

The counselors using this approach are advanced doctoral students in psychology at Regent University under the supervision of Regent licensed faculty.  There is also a study being conducted of the counseling you are receiving which your counselor can tell you more about when you meet.

If you are a husband and wife couple interested in participating in the Hope Focused Couples Counseling program, please book an appointment using the Hope Program button. *** Please note that the Hope Focused Program scheduling tool is not shared by Summit. Any scheduling, cancellations, or rescheduling must be done using the Hope Program’s button and calendaring system.
